A good panrty design in your kitchen doesn't add the style points of new countertops or cabinets but it can really make your life easier. If your kitchen needs better storage and organization then a new pantry might be a great solution for you.

Pantry Types

There are three basic types of pantries. If you have the space in your kitchen adding a walk-in pantry will allow you to keep more items and find them much easier. If you are tight on space there are some great new pull-out designs for pantires that might be just right for your kitchen.

1. Regular

2. Walk-in

3. Pull-out

Pantry Styles

The style of your pantry should really follow the style of your cabinets. The pantry is great for helping you to organize your kitchen but it does not set the style direction of the kitchen like cabinets and countertops.

Budget

Remodeling your pantry can be as simple as adding a couple of shelves or as complicated as adding a walk-in pantry which is essentially adding a new room to your house. Remember to factor in all the costs of materials and the cost of installation if you are not going to do the work yourself.

Hire a Professional Contractor if Needed

You should hire a contractor if the scope of work needed is beyond your skill and abilities or if you don't really have the time to devote to the project.
