Marble Countertops

Marble countertops have tremendous natural beauty much like granite.  Unfortunately marble is much more porous and so it can get stained by liquid.  New sealants have been developed that have improved the resistance of marble to staining but marble countertops will require constant maintenance.

Pros – natural beauty, very heat resistant.

Cons- porous material that can get stained, expensive, can get scratched and requires periodic polishing.
