Walk-in bathtub
Walk-in bathtubs have a door built into the side of the tub that opens into or away from the tub, enabling the bather to enter the tub without swinging their legs over the tub's side. People with disabilities and older bathers who have range of motion or balance problems are the prime market for walk-in bathtubs. The occupant can bathe in a seated position using the seat built into the tub. Once the bathtub door is closed, it forms a watertight seal so when you fill the tub the door will not leak.
Jetted bathtub
Jetted bathtubs, also called whirlpool tubs, use electric motors to pump water out of the tub and return it as concentrated jets of water. These jets are relaxing and therapeutic. Some consumers refer to jetted bathtubs as Jacuzzis. Jacuzzi is a pioneering manufacturer of hydrotherapy tubs that today produces whirlpool and air bathtubs, as well as many other products.
Combination bathtub/shower
Some bathers prefer baths, others prefer showers, and some go back and forth. Many bathrooms do not have enough space for a separate bathtub and shower. The bathtub/shower combination is very popular and common in many homes and enables the bather to have their choice. Combination shower/baths have two spouts, one for the shower and one for the bath. A lever in the faucet directs the water to come from one of the two spouts. If you install a combination shower/bath, you will need to waterproof the walls above the bath using tile, a liner, or another method.
Soaking bathtub
A soaking bathtub is a tub that enables the bather to sit on a seat, bench, or ledge that in built inside the tub. The bather soaks up to their chin. There are several styles of soaking bathtubs including Japanese, Greek, and wooden hot tubs.
Custom bathtub
There are three reasons to buy a custom-made bathtub: Your requirements for a bathtub, dictated by your plumbing location or space limitations, make it impossible for you to purchase a standard bathtub produced by a manufacturer. You want to purchase a very high-end, one-of-a-kind bathtub produced by an artisan. You have a style, color, or feature in mind that is essential to your bathroom design, and nothing like it is available from a manufacturer.
Air bathtub
Air bathtubs are similar to jetted tubs. They are different because the motor in an air bathtub pumps a mixture of air and water through the tub's jets, rather than a stream of pure water.
